The achievement is even more remarkable given their near perfect audit score of 0:0:1 This equates to zero majors; zero minors & only one opportunity for improvement identified which has since been implemented.

The auditor commented:

This independent assessment was conducted by the British Assessment Bureau, a leading Certification Body, and demonstrates Cumbria O&M Services commitment to customer service, quality, health and safety whilst operating in highly regulated environments.

Cumbria O&M Services has now earned the right to display the coveted British Assessment Bureau quality shield and ISO 9001:2015 & OHSAS18001:2007 logos to demonstrate their conformance to the standards.

ISO 9001 was first introduced in 1987 and requires organisations to demonstrate that they do what they say they do, and that they have a Quality Management System in place to ensure consistency and improvement; leading to high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.

OHSAS 18001 was first introduced in 1999 and requires organisations to assess their risks and implement an effective Occupational Health and Safety Management System to promote a safe and healthy working environment.

Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.
