Cumbria O&M Services (COMS) have been using the SFG20 database for the past two years and have recently renewed our subscription for another three years.

SFG20 is an invaluable database of industry standards and maintenance specifications to ensure our maintenance strategies, reviews and other support services are compliant, efficient, and aligned with recognised industry best practices.

This allows our team to provide clients with the most current information, upon which to base their decision making.

What is SFG20?

SFG20 is recognised as the industry standard for building maintenance specifications, and was launched in 1990 by the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA), who are also based in Cumbria,

The web-based database has a library of over 1200 maintenance schedules, covering more than 70 equipment types.  Using SFG20 gives our team the peace of mind that our practices are up to date with legislation, that we can efficiently capture current statutory, mandatory, and best practice maintenance activities and that we can make maintenance cost savings money through the application of SFG20 activities to the BESA proven processes.
